Used to be a great app. Since the last update though, it's very hard to use. The links for footnotes no longer appear to work. When you open a book, it automatically turns the screen brightness up to maximum, which makes it almost impossible to look at because it's so bright. You can't turn the brightness down either because it somehow overrides the phone settings. None of the settings seem to allow you to change any of this and re-installing it didn't do anything.

The last time I used this app was years ago, but I remember it being really good and easy to use. Picking it back up now I'm very disappointed that it just seems to be incapable of picking up in your book where you last left off. The annoyance I feel every time I start up my 50 hour audio book and it starts entirely from the beginning is immeasurable. I've likely listened to some parts several times by now because pinpointing where I last was with 100% accuracy is impossible.

so far the app seems to be loading much faster than before. but why take away the tile view and picking the way to sort the library and it not just going back to recent activity next time you open the app. I also want not color choices and to be able to have the total number of pages at the bottom of the screen without pulling up the progress bar. this app has a lot of good and is better for reading and rereading than kindle but still has work to be done
